Baby and Mother's Hand - Acupuncture Treatment for Pregnancy Support

Pregnancy Support

Acupuncture performed during pregnancy offers a secure, gentle, and efficient approach to alleviate numerous common symptoms encountered throughout this period, including:

• Morning sickness: feelings of nausea and/or vomiting

• Fatigue

• Swelling and the occurrence of varicose veins

• Headaches and migraines

• Back pain or other forms of discomfort (such as round ligament pain, pelvic pain, etc.)

• Assistance in turning a breech baby

• Stress relief

• Heartburn

• Support in preventing miscarriage

Prebirth Acupuncture treatment consists of a series of 4-5 weekly treatments commencing at week 36 of pregnancy. These treatments are specifically designed to support the timely onset of labor and promote a smooth progression of labor without complications. It is important to note that Pre-Birth Acupuncture is not intended for labor induction and will not initiate labor.

Potential benefits of Pre-Birth Acupuncture include:

  1. Decreased duration of the first stage of labor (the period between 3 cm dilation and full dilation) by an average of 2 hours.

  2. Reduced induction rates by 43% in first-time mothers and 35% in others.

  3. Lowered usage of epidurals by 31%.

  4. Decreased emergency C-section rates by 32%.

  5. Increased rates of vaginal births by 9%.

Postpartum Support -  Engaging in a series of postpartum acupuncture sessions provides numerous advantages. These sessions aim to restore your body, promote healing, and address various concerns such as breastfeeding difficulties, digestive issues, sleep problems, anxiety/depression, and more.

Our recommended postpartum protocol involves three weekly visits, commencing at 2-3 weeks after childbirth, and subsequent sessions as required based on your individual needs.
